Family Fun Green Day on March 7聽

Looking for a family activity for this weekend? The Ruines of Balaclava, with the collaboration of Maritim Hotel and Spa, is organising a Family Fun Green Day this Sunday, March 7, from 11 am to 7 pm. The event comprises a range of activities for children and teenagers and a food court for all tastes. Entrance is free for children and costs Rs 100 for adults.

Sunset and hike at Le Pouce mountain this Sunday

Nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts, join the Nature Warriors Mauritius this Sunday, March 7, to contemplate a magnificent sunset from the top of Le Pouce mountain. Starting at 4 pm at the foot of the mountain, in the village of Petit Verger, in Saint Pierre, this 812-meter course is accessible to everyone. Discussions on female leadership this Monday, March 8

Celebrate International Women's Day this Monday, March 8, from 10 am at the French Institute in Mauritius with discussion panels on female leadership in Mauritius. On this special occasion, Mauritians thriving in their respective fields will be able to share their experiences. This event aims at setting up a concrete project for women for the year 2021. Meet Blakkayo live this Wednesday, March 10

In our article 鈥Blakkayo, singer, activist and back with a new album鈥 last week, we presented this popular Mauritian artist who will be live at Insomnia Night Club, in Grand Baie, on Wednesday, March 10 from 10 pm. It will be a unique opportunity to discover his new solo album "Soz serye" and kickstart the long weekend starting on March 11th. Tickets are available at Rs 500 at the entrance and Rs 400 on presale.

Tribute to Kaya on Saturday March 13

Kaya was a Mauritian artist who needs no introduction. Known as the King of Seggae, he passed away in February 1999. Still, his music is still alive and loved by all. On Saturday, March 13, Jerry N The Resistance is paying tribute to Kaya at the Caudan Arts Center from 7.30 pm. Seize the opportunity to discover his musical heritage with a long list of remakes.

A creative Independence Day on March 13

On Saturday, March 13, from 8 am to 5 pm, Caudan Arts Center is presenting a unique event: "Let's celebrate our Independence in creativity and in music". There will be culinary workshops for children aged 7 to 12 and people aged 13 and over, as well as a creative workshop on Paul Klee by Savana. Children will get to discover the Paul Klee technique for a special creation on the Independence theme with oil pastel. The event will end with live music by local artists.

"One Man Chaud" on March 27

Mauritian comedian Vicent Duverg茅 will be live on March 27 at the Trianon Convention Center for his 鈥淥ne Man Chaud鈥. If you understand French and creole, don't miss the opportunity to discover this popular local talent. Vincent Duverg茅 plays a range of hilarious typical Mauritian characters, such as Fredo the Franco-Mauritian and Clara the influencer, as well as the aunties you will come across at family gatherings.
