Terragen terminates its contract with the CEB

Since April 29, Terragen Ltd, an independent electricity producer that supplies the Central Electricity Board (CEB) has stopped its electricity production. The rising price of coal is not allowing the company to continue its production. The contract dates back to 1998. The case was taken to court. The CEB assured, however, that this will not affect the electricity supply for the time being.

Mauritius tops the ranking on wealth per capita

$ 34,500. This would be, according to the Africa Wealth Report 2022 of Henley and Partners, the wealth per Mauritian, being the best in Mauritius. The report also claims that the country is also the fastest growing country in Africa. According to Henley & Partners, the country owes its rapid growth to the luxury real estate market which attracts foreign investors.
