55 years of independence

It's been 55 years since Mauritius became independent and 31 years since it became a Republic. The anniversary will be celebrated this Sunday, March 12. For the fourth year in a row, the official ceremony will be held at the State House on Sunday. In addition, at the initiative of the Ministry of Youth Empowerment and Sports, young students have been participating since Thursday, March 9, in a relay of the national flag around the island. This event will end in Rose Hill on Saturday, March 11.

A case of malaria detected in the North
