Annie,

It's not about race but about biological differences between men and women and the reason why we both think the way we do. How men think about love is entirely different on how women think about love.

love is a universal language; it is spoken in different dialects between different sexes, but in the end, it is a raw emotion that is conveyed, and knows no gender limitation.

men love idfferently, women love differently, in their love of each other, there can be no doubt.

I think there must be some difference, though I am not sure if this Asian proverb describes it well for me. And then how can you ever compare feelings on such a general basis if you can only ever try to understand your own feelings?

Gender differences! i dont think so! it is a multifactorial influnce and wt matters more is how a person proves true love regardless wt r the circumistances or hardships..

To be happy with a man you must understand a lot and love him a little.

To be happy with a woman you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.

It is hard to make any wide sweeping statements about how men are or how women show love. It is quite an individual thing which may have nothing to do with gender. Some men can be really ''lovey dovey'' and go all out showing the emotions while some don't show any emotions at all (which can at times be annoying) but by the things they do, you know they love you.

It is evolution to blame. The man's wiring is to get as many women as possible and have as many chidren. And Women's wiring is to get a man strong enough to support the family. So man's love is short term, women's is longer term.
