Semsema I didn't mean to offense Egyptians. She isn't specific about her laptop and come on let's be honest if there is a technology sector in Egypt why there are 0 laptops manufactured in Egypt. I just wanted her to do the safest thing. Maybe there are ppl to fix it here but I don't think it will be like the west. And again Mohamed stay away nobody is talking to u

Dear Andy,
I do agree with you on the fact that there are no laptops manufactured in Egypt. But that is not the point. How many companies do you think manufacture laptops in the west? None!!!...belive me. Even Apple computers are manufactured in the east. That is the beauty of globalisation. The market for computers and laptop is big enough for companies and entrepreneurs to set up repair centers in Egypt / Cairo. There are retailers like Compume and others providing repair services. Guess you should visit them and take look at their facilities. I do agree with you on the point that some of the service centers may not be offering quality and reliable services. Your concern about Tatiana having best of the services is appreciated. However your suggestion to send a laptop abroad for repair is probably stretching it a bit to much, simply because of the time, cost and risk involved. Tatiana could probably buy a new laptop instead. Have a good weekend Andy...
