What cards do ATMs in Accra accept?

Dear all,

I read that a lot of ATMs in Accra do not accept Maestro cards. What is your experience? Which banks do accept Maestro cards? Would you suggest to acquire a Master or Visa card, just to be sure?

I don't use them myself but think they take both mastercard and visa.

Stanbic bank accepts Mastercard at their ATM's

I use the ATM at Barclays, Ghana Commercial Bank, Stanbic,聽 and UT Bank for my MasterCard and never had a problem. I think Maestro is a MasterCard product, look at the back of the card, if it has cirrus on it then you are good.
