I'll try to be brief:聽 No, You are not allowed to enter, same as I am not.聽 Unless you havev someone with member card who would invite you. Period

what's that about?

It's about socializing, fun, and ... the rest is up to you how to spend your time there. You may discover many new friends, or ... you may yawn.

Interesting, where does that clib locate? what kinda of activity they offer?

The Oasis is officially the British Embassy Staff House.
Give up any idea of getting in. There is no membership open to the public, it is for Embassy and British Council staff plus a few friends.
i have friend who showed me a ticket for Oasis party and its mentioned there that it costs 50LYD! .. whats that?
That was probably the Christmas party.聽 Still guest list only.
does it worth the try to be in that list for a young guy? ... i mean if its just kind of reception full of old people just talking and drinking .. i dont need that!
Ahamed

Don't want to be harsh, but we stick around old people to learn more, besides, being old is a relative thing it is not usually related to age, u ll be amazed.

Cheers
but Sweet Libya i got enough of old people at my work! .... lolll

If you're friends with people who work at the British Embassy then maybe they will sometimes ask you if you'd like yo go along one evening. That doesn't put you on a 'list' that gives automatic entry, it will be for the one night in question.

Other social events sometimes use the Oasis and you pay for tickets accordingly, a large % of the entry fee normally goes to a charity and will also include a meal and a band(s). Entry to these events requires membership of the organising clubs. You wouldn't be a member of these clubs/societies unless you liked mixing with the sort of people who are in them.

Don't let the word 'Club' confuse you, this is not a 'night club' in the normal sense. If your aim is just to get in, rather than to be able to meet with your friends, then you'd not enjoy it even if you managed it.

HTH

Thanks alot Mudman
