Visas and Health and travel insurance for seniors

Hi good day, my name is Dawn, I have an elderly mom named Angela whom I love dearly and we BOTH are to relocate from South Africa to Mauritius. I have found聽 affordable international health and travel insurance for the rest of our family. There is affordable international travel insurance for my mom, however they only willing to cover my 77 year old mom for聽 no longer than three months. the other health insurance options covering for a year is well out my price range , I simply cannot pay or afford the options.

I was thinking of getting the rest of the family a Premium visa, and getting mom a tourist visa as she has only three months coverage

I can buy her another policy, will she have to leave and re enter Mauritius every three months ?

Or can she stay in Mauritius and I buy more travel insurance every three months ? Thanks

European, Wishing to retire soon to settle in Mauritius, I studied the health insurance market for senior expatriates, the most interesting company seems 'cigna': /individuals/overview

@Jola32: Do you know how long the policy with Cigna lasts? The problem with health insurance policies based in Mauritius is that the policy is only valid for one year, and the insurance companies refuse to extend it after the age of 75.
