I've been in Dhaka for six months now. I am a Pro-Vice Chancellor (Designate) at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in Bashundhara. I live in the Pink City Model Town, next to the Purbachal highway. Originally, I am from Europe (Slovenia). I was educated in Europe and the US.

I am an American, educated in American universities in sociology.聽 trying to get a long term visa.聽 I am thinking if I can get a job there at a school teaching English, or at a college level sociology, I can get a long term visa.

financially I am well off.聽 could I live on $1200.00 us dollars per month in an apartment with two rooms and running water and American toilet with flushable toilet?

I also speak several foreign聽 languages, Spanish, Russian, korean
