I left behind a beautifully maintained '85 Chevy pickup when I moved here on a fulltime basis in May.
This isn't a K30 or a Silverado, it has a non civilian designation- M1008[9]CUCV.

My wife has become convinced I love this truck only a fraction less than her, so she convinced me to keep it. It's no use to me there, I need it here.

I was under the belief that there were certain purpose categories for machine's like this- construction, agriculture & 'unique purpose' ( for tourism ie). The 1985 truck is a millstone with a 6.2 litre in it for burning diesel, it is 4x37inch wheel drive, with locking diffs front & rear, which effectively make it half bulldozer.

Picture a slightly larger than standard K30, jack it up 16 inches, put massive fat all terrain 37s on it & all Chevy branding lazily & hastily removed.

I mention all the above & attached some photos, so:

A). That person[s] I need advice the most, can have all data needed to collate in order to give me a realistic import/customs duty expected total cost.
B)聽 The person familiar with less expensive,less travelled processes regarding reducing significantly, the cost of a Vehicle Of 'Special Purpose'-such as in construction, ag, or tourism applications (I still have the original troop seats- it was also the Park Ranger's truck in the Yogi Bear film) - that a person who might offer helpful advice, could have a snapshot of what, or how, we may looking to reclassify or whatever best & cheapest way I can get my truck in my care may be.
c) Truckfiends may enjoy one of the toughest purpose, easily worked on, trucks ever built. It handles like a brick & comes to a stop about as fast as a hurled one, but for the practical onsite rural development it is needed for, I doubt I'd be able to find a better suited truck & I'll even promise not to bring it into town & emasculate the bent chaps in Hummvees & Rangerovers, then potentially be blamed for聽 masterminding 'A politically motivated, as yet undisclosed crime, designed to cause a mass loss of morale in the military" & have my lovely truck impounded, disappeared, then, after a few months, by which time I've been deported, be granted,as a gratuity gift to reward someone who has stolen a lot of other people's money for a much smaller lot of other people.

Sobering thoughts, it definitely spends its life on the farm. ..Any positive feedback is eagerly anticipated. Thanks all.
