Personally I don't get to know a lot of foreigners here in Xiamen, I thought they just left after the pandemic. But I'm a local Xiamenese if anyone wanna get in touch with me, I speak fluent English as I spent my high school years in the states, so don't worry.

To answer you first question, I do believe you can cold approach some of them in an Indian restaurant where I love to go. The restaurant owner is an Indian guy who also speak English and I know him personally. Sometimes I have seen some foreigners seating in the restaurant.

Open up your map and type the word: Indiano Johns. It's located in the Huli District, a block east to the SM city plaza.

*ps: They are by far the ONLY Indian restaurant in the Xiamen city.

Btw, just dm me if any of you would wanna hangout.
