Are cell phones cheaper in India or in the USA?

How are cell services in India as far as you bringing your own phone..Which company do you recomend in Kochi for example?

Hi- cell phones are definitely cheaper in the US...when you look at say the iPhone... but certain models of Nokia in India are cheap... again depends on whether you're talking about smartphones or simple cell phones... if you have some models in mind maybe i could give you a better idea.... also when you say cell services, call and SMS rates in India are much much lower than in the US. Plus, incoming is free. I'm not very sure how the system works in the US, but in India you can subscribe to just the cellular service- you're not bound by any contract or you do not have to purchase a device along with the service.
