As per the queries asked from me I thought of posting here as well:


Category to participate would obviously be TD, we'r not professionals...

the difference between them (professionals) & us is that they are "back to back" completely sponsored by Manufacturers themselves so their vehicles, the spares & the service babkup is provided for by the Manufacturers themselves......they dont even have to take the tension of logistical arrangements... so its kinda Luxurious for them..... If they abuse the car too much during the day, it will be fitted with new spares with the Manufacturer's best Mechanics at work.... everything on Manufacturer's account....even the nerve-wrecking for getting it done & done "on time" burdened onto the service backup team..... The service backup team is answerable to the Management of the Manufacturer... so it performs.... serious money profits based on "Reputations" driving the the "Drive" inside the Men at Work....

&.....&....&........even if there is a serious accident, they can simply walk away from it all.... at the next Rally there would be another new one waiting.... & again the same Luxury of arrangements....

Not us..... -


So..... our "Trip" is all based on 1) Teamwork & 2) keeping our wits about..... & optimism

Our kinds would be the "Humans" at adventure....

I was asked whats gained?

Well..... 1. a few days of serious "loose nut" activity....

& other experiences like:-

2. Get to attack the Dunes found after a lot of exploring by the team of organizers.... which we wouldn't otherwise be able to organize ourselves as the Dunes are a bit far, they have to be Discovered, a few more loose nuts need to be gathered to have fun with the spirit of children inside (its kinda boring with just 1 vehicle going at it & not knowing how to get the car back on firm ground if it gets stuck when alone & can sap the whole fun out)

3.Get enveloped in the overall ambiance of so many Loose-nuts getting together & feeling & tking as though participating in 3rd world war.... (all the people involved in the event- the participants, the backups, the Marshals, the organizers...)  & discussing every evening all our stupidities & not so clever lucky strikes......

3. Get to Drive in the Rann of Kutch & drive with a purpose... which again is difficult to organize for such a non-fizzy place...(a boring barren wasteland place) & a Drive in the Rann should be on the list of- "one of the things to do before I die"

& the likes......

The most difficult is to arrange for service backup (without which its simply not possible) & backup by experienced backup team (its not about money that these guys come for a back-up, its about that smouldering within them to get involved in such events....) & luckily  that is on offer to be shared.... & so got in that "wishful state" to do it...... 

Q.Any other skill/qualification of the interested to join?

A.  Yes there is -

The person Interested should arrange for "at-least one serious reference" where a friend can vouch-for you as a "Loose-Nut"   LOL obviously joking  -

but you get the picture........
