I am from China and I have great affection for Indonesia. This is my first Indonesian forum, and I鈥檓 glad to make friends with Indonesian friends here.

If I change my job in the future, I would love to work and live in Indonesia. Many Chinese companies offer overseas positions here.

I am willing to learn all about local Indonesian customs and culture. Feel free to ask me anything about China if you are interested.

I also want to ask for your advice: Is it necessary to learn the local Indonesian language if I live and work here long-term?

I think it's good to learn the local language if you plan to stay and work here long term. It's easy to learn the basics so definitely I would do it. It seems to me that Indonesia is moving away from it's long-time strong connections with Japan and now embracing China and China products more and more. I am sure you'll enjoy living here.
