Yeah. There are some websites you can checked on to you can simply type "surabaya gubeng kost mingguan" in Surabaya I personally know one, its in Gubeng, but I'm not sure whether they have free room or not

I have found some sites (listed below for anyone else who needs). The sites are a little difficult to navigate with my limited bahasa indonesia. I didn't manage to find a place this past trip, but I will be in Surabaya again later this year. If I have better luck, I will post the results here for others.
