Cerification of passport and No Criminal Offense

Mipatata

Hi,
I finished my application online and started to certify doc but surprised by different offices, including Malaysia Consular British General Consular that they said they will not do that unless there is a 'request letter' produced. Police Authority also said so. They said yes we know - MM2H has a letter.
I did receive an acknowledge email from MM2H asking me filing the required doc at their KL office in person.
So when the 'letter' will be given?  If I fly to KL, very likely they will say my doc is not suffice and pended there.

Regards and thanks for your help.

Use an agent is the best way to get it right first time and you won't need to deliver your documents in person as part of the application.

The passport copy needs Certified True Copy by a Notary Public or your embassy in home/current country.

Police Certificate obtained where you have been for last 10 years (I think).

It may well be that some nationals can wait with the Police Certificate until they have been accepted on the MM2H programme i.e. before travelling to Malaysia to do medical, health insurance, fixed deposit, bond, and going to Putrajaya to get the endorsement in passport (max 6 months allowed for this).

Sounds like the "letter" is the provisional approval (which takes 5-6 months).

For HK Police Certificate (if they don't require the MM2H provisional approval letter)

I just mailed my paperwork and sat back and waited.

This is the UK contact for Police Certificates Don't need a special letter to apply for this.

I think the HK system difference may be because China monitors MM2H applicants and approvals. Singapore does the same.

They did reject me at counter. I went there last week and was turned down. This morning i was turned down my MY Consular office. Both kept insist on a letter.
I cant believe the MM2H Centre will create a loop to online applicants....so funny.  I am still on the street wondering what do ....

Gravitas

Its not the MM2H programme putting in the requirements.

Just a word of advice - don't criticize things Malaysian if you want to have the good life here. You will find doors close very quickly. No-one has time for blamers.....

You sound at sea - just use an agent and get it done painlessly as they will guide you. You didn't even understand the basic criteria (property ownership), so I guess you are going to run into all sorts of problems.

Gravitas

What nationality are you going to apply with?

Just saw this guideline on the government MM2H website:

LETTER OF GOOD CONDUCT (LOGC) FROM CHINA

Kindly be informed that effective 1st May 2018 Letter of Good Conduct (LOGC) from CHINA must be submitted following new procedures. Please refer to the new guidelines on LOGC

It mentions HK

Thank you
Just to clarify I am not blaming MY.
For property ownership I might really lack of the knowledge but my lawyer will sort that out if I pick up one. Appreciate your advice.
