Count me in if there is any gathering that ever materialize. You might like to start the ball rolling as it have been pretty quiet in here lately........

Tonight I have plans to do some networking and get some balls rolling lol but yes I will after next week try to start something this week Im catching up with old friends and sorting my place out. Better ifthere is a small core to get things going. What we did before is start on a Sunday day or afternoon as often people have Friday Saturday plans and in the week hard as work. Also easier to chat. Then pool parties were popular in my old expat group or just get togethers at condos on a Friday once people sort of new it was worthwhile. Then newbies can join in an established group.
So how about Sunday 11th September we have an afternoon 4pm Meetup (in case anyone needs to go to church etc and after lunch)? at klcc at a coffee house? What do people think about that? The main purpose is to chat and get to know people over coffee then maybe later go to a mamak place and eat. Once a few of use have met and know each other we can then have more exciting events. Also less risk as you don't have to cancel something on Friday or Saturday , turn up and risk missing anyone.
If interested I'll post a number here (I have a spare phone so could use that - unwise to put your main number here) so anyone attending can call if lost.
So who likesthis idea and wants to meet to chat?

count me in
KLCC is my usual hang out place...
As someone made an event for the 11th Sep ahead of me I thought I would go to that one. Directions are there but if anyone needs help let me know. It's at 1.30 pm and meeting at a teh Tarik place core tea or coffee at sunway pyramid. Can get there by going to kelana jaya train station then a bus (easy) but as I will be passing by could pick up upto 3 people from train station - just message me. There is already 7 confirmed people excluding me so should be fun. There is a mobile number of the organiser just in case and I can pass on mine as well via message.
So all welcome!

if you like walking, then you would enjoy walking in the KLCC gardens. and if you want more, you can visit Putrajaya. its quite further than KLCC and you can get there by KLIA train.
in terms of food, there's a wide variety of food. You can get eastern and western food anywhere in Kuala Lumpur. but if you would like to try some of the local famous dishes, you can go to a mamak or Indian restaurant. Dont forget to try Roti Canai and Teh Tarik and Nasi Lemak!
enjoy your visit!Jackcoll wrote:Hi Minari
