Hi Everyone, new in this site n new in philippines

Hey, am Samuel, only two months in Philippines and tring to figure out why its so damn difficult to make friends. Seems its more easier to start chatting with kids at the subdivision than striking a conversation with my neighbor.

we get this problem a lot on this forum, u gotta understand the Filipino, they are basicly shy and busy(making a living)
I've been here 3yrs(admittedly in provinces)and have very few Filipino friends(outside family)but plenty expat mates
I suggest u find out were expat frequent and visit there

I found that many of the older Filipinos have not spoken English since school and are too shy to try to speak it to a stranger.聽 Naturally the children are more curious, have less fear of the unknown and learn English in school. Attending church and church related activities are good ways to meet new people.

Welcome to this site.So how long are you going to be in the Philippines for?As i have yet to visit there,however plan to be near Manila early next year.
