M I Hummel / Gospel figurines

Laurence Lee

Good day !  I came from NZ to administer the estates of my late brother.   Among the many things he left behind, there are about 100 + figurines made by M I Hummel / Goebel.  He purchased them from Sydney as he used to work there. I don't think these are popular among the local collectors as I get no response from posting them on the local website, Carousell.

I am therefore reaching out to the German expats living in Singapore: are there German communities that would be more appropriate for posting this email?

I apologise that my first posting has to be so crude and commercial in nature.

Thanking you for your attention and I am sorry if I have wasted your time.

Sincerely,

Laurence

I have never heard of such figurines - if at all popular, it must be among a small niche of collectors.
Why do you want to make this niche even smaller still by looking only among German expats in Singapore (of whom there are not more than 5000)?
I think posting them on Ebay, with international exposure of the auction, would be better. Or maybe there are specialised forums for collectors of such figurines?

Thank you for your feedback.  I have copied a URL over here to show the origins of the figurines:

eBay is a great idea!  I was trying to find any interest locally instead of going in that direction.  Looks like I may have to although time is not on my side, as I plan to return to Auckland by the end of the year.  So if I cannot dispose of them locally, lugging them back to Auckland is my last option.

Cheers!

Laurence
