Living in 6 months in Thailand, then 6 months in Australia

Hello,

I would like to go and live 6 months in Thailand, then 6 months in Australia.

I have visa questions:

-For Thailand, can the flight out of the country go to Australia ?

-For Australia, can I apply for a visa directly from Thailand ?
