bad experience at family medical clinic HCMC

jameskeep

I recently had a simple operation for tennis elbow at the family medical clinic in HCMC by the orthopaedic doctor there. I had already had the operation done by an english doctor some years previous on my other elbow which was very successful with no complications.
Basically after the stitches were removed, within a few yours the wound opened up completely. After the initial dressing, I was sent home with gauze and told to change the dressing myself. After another 10 days the wound it was restitched but again to my horror the wound opened up for a second time. Again I was sent home with gauze. This is when the problems started I developed huge swelling and discharge. The doctor in question tried to  tell me I would be ok and it would heal. It didnt of course so I made the decision to go to Australia I was immediately diagnosed with severe septic arthritis admitted to the RPA that day. I had two operations over three days cutting and debridement and kept in hospital on in intravenous drip of antibiotic for three weeks and then a further 5 months on heavy oral antibiotic which I have only just finished. An absolute nightmare all round and I am still in pain and by no no means out of the woods yet. I since found out he, the doctor, should never have sent m home to dress a gaping open wound as it was and it should have been done in the strict antiseptic environment in a hospital or clinic.
I wish I had never met this doctor and cannot believe my naivety in putting my trust in him and know he should not be doing this type of work.
