importing personal dj equipment in VIetnam

Guys,

I was thinking to import my DJ Equipment in Vietnam but I've heard that some sort of duty has to be paid. Does anyone has any experience about this?

Why import? There is an area in Quan 5 and along NHAT THAO Street where you buy all sorts of 'DJ' equipment.

They even have the Jamaica-type coffin-sized speakers.

If you do bring your own goods, as long as they are not too large or ostentatious, and can fit in regular baggage, you can likely get away with it. Just say your are touring the region.

do you know if they stock the latest equipment like the Ddj-sx2 or cdj 2000 nexus? And how about prices, are they similar to european or cheaper/higher?

Last question..Nhat Thao street is in HCMC ? tried to google it but nothing came up

Qu岷璶 means "District", and refers to HCMC.聽聽See below for a good map of the districts.

There's a "Nh岷璽 T岷 street" in Qu岷璶 10, so maybe that's what the bug-man was thinking of:

I've never been on that street, so I have no idea if that's what he's talking about.聽 I'll let him clarify if he wishes, but if you have time, and you're nearby, you might want to check it out.

Sorry, I'm not into that sort of music, my interest is equipment sourcing related.

NHAT THAO Street is close by the intersection of 3 THANG 2 Street and LY TRUONG KIET Street in Ward 4, Quan 10.
