Why not, its not like people will catch it from you when they meet you.
2chi:聽 This question has been asked here before.聽 HERE is the link to the thread.聽

Look at the matrix in the in my post #2 there.聽 It depends where you fall on that matrix.聽 If you are positive for HBsAg you maybe will not be able to get a permit (emphasis on the maybe) but if you show signs of prior infection only (negative HBsAg and positive anti-HBc) you should be just fine.聽 聽Hep B levels are quite high in Vietnam.聽 My wife found out that she had immunity based on a prior infection only after she came to the US.聽 Her doctor had her tested to see if she should be vaccinated.聽 She must have had it as a child as she had no memory of having had the illness.聽 The disease is primarily blood borne but apparently it also crosses the placenta so someone could even be borne with an infection.

You can. I have been here for nearly five years. But I suppose the field of work matters too. If one is going to work here as a doctor, perhaps the medical requirements are different. Hope this helps!

Was any one able to obtain the work visa in Vietnam with Hbsag possitive? I too am in a similar situation and have an employment offer from vietnam. Just verifying if i need to go ahead with the job offer.
