Hi guys! My name is Ed... I'm very new to this forum and HCMC. Wish to know more Vietnamese and expat friends during my stay here (Im staying alone in district 1)...I will be arriving on 26th May 2012 on a 3 months visa. Hi Ed,

Since you are staying in D1, you may want to go to Seventeen Saloon for a drink. A number of Singaporean chilled out there in the evening. Foreigners and locals as well.

You should be able to identify the Singaporeans easily with their Singlish accent

Hi Ed,

Lots of singapore nang here. But most of the lau cheow keep to themselves & have their own hangouts. I have a majong group but sometimes hard to get 4th kaki coz so many distractions here. U welcome to join if u play mj.

After awhile the club scence becomes sian. I play snooker here quite regularly with a couple of kakis at a decent club with char bor near D1.
