There are a few cafes on Nguyen Chi Thanh that sit on the hill over looking the town and lake. Very nice to go there for some breakfast and a coffee in the morning to relax. They are just up the street from the Ngoc Lan hotel. Some other things worth seeing include, Bao Dai palace, taking the cable car to Truc Lam pagoda and having lunch down by the lake, Datanla waterfall (when there take a ride down on the roller coaster, a return ticket will save you walking back up the stairs).

Visit Da Lat flowers garden, or some waterfalls.
Or Gold & Sliver Lake (suối vàng, suối bạc)
Or Da Lat night market

I visited Dalat many many times. I think that Dalat is very small, so almost places should to be destinations. You can visit Datanla Waterfall, Love Valley, rent couple bike for going round Xuan Huong Lake. In the morning or at the midnight, you can walk around Hoa Binh area for visiting Dalat Market.

Dalat is mother land of Arabica Coffee, pure and specific coffee, so should to visit some famous coffee shop with music or not music as Cafe Rainy in Hung Vuong Street, Cafe Song Vy or Cafe Moc in Nguyen Chi Thanh street (Live music cafe)...

We've just come back from Da Lat a week and a half ago, couldn't see any of the apparently numerous waterfalls, as they were closed, but we had a nice time.

There wasn't a lot to do, but strolling around the central lake is nice, the Summer Palace (Palace #3) is kind of interesting, and the restored rail journey from the old railway station was delightful. We didn't find any of the cafes particularly good, but the bbq seafood resto across the lake from the markets (southwest?) was spectacular. Sorry, no idea what it was called, but it was packed with Vietnamese and foreigners alike.

Great jams, berries, and dried fruits at the markets (a few stallholders were even happy to offer tasters), but the flowers were frankly disappointing - we get better and cheaper at Chợ Thị Nghè.

Aside from anything, the weather was beautiful, despite a little rain.
