Need help getting Meds from pharmacies.

I'm currently IN HO CHI MINH CITY and need help getting painkillers. I had a prescription for fentanyl and oxycodone back in the states. Anyone know which pharmacies I can get them from or should I consult a doctor. Thanks in advance!

These drugs are very powerful and sometimes abused.
The first suggests seeing a doctor is a very good idea, the second being a very good reason to get them prescribed by a doctor to avoid difficult questions should a police officer find you with them.

Any recommendations for any doctors? I'm being told that i might have to go to a hospital and get X-rays and what not In order to get these Meds

You could try Benh Vien Dai Hoc Y Douc, which is a hospital in D5 that has English speaking doctors in their emergency department.

Fentanyl is an opate and oxycodone is a narcotic. To the best of my knowledge, both drugs are restricted in Viet Nam. You should definitely see a Doctor.

Note, my wife uses Tramadol, an opate for pain. Due to her blood disorder all NASIDs are life threatening for her and the danger of opate addiction is less serious than taking NSAIDS, which require a complete blood replacement and luck to survive.

Moving to HCM in January and now in Singapore. Have been taking tramadol for spinal stenosis. Can you tell me how/ where your wife gets hers?

I would go to a major Hospital or Clinic with your medical records and get the proper Specialist to examine you. After the Specialist writes the prescription, take it to the hospital pharmacy. Likely they will have to order the drug. You will likely need to pay in advance and pick it up in a few days.

I use City International Hospital for treatment. Due to Insurance issues, I'm retired U.S. Military, I buy most Drugs at InternationalSOS in Saigon. You might contact InternationalSOS in Singapore and have them arrange things for you. Ch峄� R岷珁 Hospital is a mad house. But, if you are a foreigner, you can avoid most of the madness and, even at the foreign rate, Ch峄� R岷珁 is much less expensive than International SOS.

To the best of my knowledge, in Viet Nam tramadol is only available in capsule form and not in tablet.

I would also suggest that you bring a copy of your prescription and medical records with you on your flight along with a reasonable supply of your tramadol in your carry-on.
