Hello everyone,

I am looking for some informations regarding door to door sales in group (for example thermomix sale) in Vietnam. Do you know if it exists? If yes what kind of products are sold? Which companies? Many thanks

Do these companies bug people and get told to sod off in Asia as well?

Hi,
Whatever your trying to sell , you better research your market.聽聽
For example...Thermomix @ $2000-聽 is equivalent to the TOTAL average Annual salary here.聽聽

It would be like walking door to door in your home country trying to sell luxury cars .聽聽聽 I know VN friends here who shop online with聽 Lazarda.com.vn.......they seem to be able to get anything on that site.

The only people here I see doing the rounds door to door are fruit & veg vendors on rusty bicycles.聽聽 If they see a foreign dude peddling stuff , you鈥檒l be left standing.聽聽聽 A neighbour here tried to get Amway going........didn鈥檛 happen.

It鈥檚 a hard market for a stand alone foreign guy .

Yeah,
The Amway stuff is here, but this local lady 鈥渇olded up鈥� not long after going into it.聽聽 Karma I suppose...she was a **** .聽 I think the locals are pretty good at 鈥渃leaning out鈥� things anyway without the need to buy something to help in the process馃槅

Myself....I鈥檝e never seen her or the product since.聽聽

Mmmm.....why it didn鈥檛 work.?聽聽Maybe the price point a bit too high for the locals.聽聽 I remember when the Amway craze hit Australia and every punter got told they were gunna become 鈥淎mway Millionaires 鈥� the same issue was the price point.聽聽

These days you鈥檝e got to be price competitive......Amazon for example , they move stuff at bargain prices and Jeff Bezos has done well out of it.聽聽

People love a bargain.聽聽I know expat people here that鈥檒l walk an extra 500 metres, drink in a ***joint , just聽 to save 10 cents on a beer.聽聽

Your right, we all love a bargain.聽
My sister in Australia is a VERY wealthy woman.聽聽Owns several properties, earns $250k plus salary , plus rental income , plus managed fund income........but shops on EBay for bargains on second hand stuff.

Also only buys groceries that are on the specials rack.聽聽She鈥檚 worked since she was 15 .聽聽Only ever been overseas once....and that was for a bargain medical procedure in Thailand.

I can see her point.聽聽She wants value for money.聽 Problem is....doesn鈥檛 need the money. 馃槅

Ironically, I鈥檇 say her kids will squander most of it when she鈥檚 gone.

Life鈥檚 funny eh....

As for Yogi,聽聽I could afford a luxury lifestyle, but I don鈥檛 need it.聽聽I鈥檓 happier with the simple things.聽聽I needed a change, and an opportunity to experience another culture & way of life.聽聽 I鈥檝e got that here .聽聽

As far as I know,聽 we only get one crack at this game of life.聽聽And guess what.....none of us will get out of this game alive. 馃
