@MarkinNam Just to up date, He has been cleared of cancer suspicion by his doctor but still has pneumonia, anemia and colitis. The family don't have a lot and hospital fees may break them. Thanks for your input, Mark

My mother-in-law died early this moth after spending spending time in te Ben Tre hospital.聽 聽I don't know the fees but I know it cost the family real money.聽 聽I also sent a glucose tester and a mess of strips to my brother-in-law because he was paying a little over 1 USD each for testing at the pharmacy.聽 聽I know Vietnam is far from a wealthy nation but it is really shameful that a socialist nation cannot provide free medical care even if nothing else.聽 聽It is especially ironic considering that Ben Tre was a solidly VC town during the "American" War (the town "we had to destroy in order to save it.")

May I enquire what Ben Tre being "a solidly VC town during the American War has to do with medical care 53 years later?聽 聽Maybe I missed the point.
