Why are resorts selling their cabanas?

I see that Hopkins Bay Resort and it appears that NAIA Resort are selling cabanas that were originally resort owned.聽 Why is that happening and what are the long term plans for the resort?

I don't think this is anything new.

It is common for developments to sell individual properties to raise cash, then act as a leasing agent for the owner.

Short time vacationers never know it, if the resort does things properly.聽 1f600.svg

I can only speak for Hopkins Bay.聽 As long as I've been here these villas have always been owned individually with only the resort managing the rentals of the units.聽 So the selling of these units is done by the owners of the villa and not the resort.
