Great Question my family is searching for the same type of service. Another question I am wondering is if we purchase furniture once we arrive. How long does the furniture usually take to come in or is the furniture usually in stock at the time of purchase?

When we purchased our condo we hired an interior decorator. She had extensive contacts here on the Costa Norte with local furniture makers and artisans.聽 Purchasing from them was very affordable, of high quality and using local woods that generally hold up better to local weather and bugs.

I recommend trying to find someone similar there in PC.聽 鈥淔urniture Packages鈥� tend to be greatly overpriced. You鈥檙e paying for the convenience of a one-stop-shop and likely a huge commission to the seller.聽

You might be able to find someone through FB or on Google.聽

I think one has to be careful when buying furniture here , I鈥檓 looking for sofas聽 and the only one鈥檚 I have found were as hard as a park bench or so big they wouldn鈥檛 fit 鈥�.

We have been using them and sending our clients who didn鈥檛 want to pay exuberant prices for furniture packages and they have done a fantastic job furnishing apartments with high quality furniture sometimes even at half the price of a furniture package . Interesting there聽 aren鈥檛 a lot of good furniture stores in punta cana聽 and the few are a bit expensive. beware a lot of brokers/ developers are steering clients there. message me if you want to know more

Sorry Harris this is not unusual behavior for brokers here. I hope you get a response. If so, feel free to post it here!

@planner - I am not optimistic since many other people also asked for this info (Posted over 2 months ago) and there appears to be no response at all to any of those posts.

Sadly they just don't understand the value in a few minutes invested! It would show this broker standing out from the crowd. Instead, it's just another one who doesn't get it!

Thanks for the post and the info rfmaurone, I see there's a huge demand for quality furniture in this area. Lots of condos are coming up and lots are being delivered shortly (like mine), so the info you provided is very valuable to us.

@cmerschen the person that posted about being a furniture broker only has one post in this entire forum and that post was a year and a half ago.

others along with myself have messaged the person directly with no response and that person has not replied in this thread to any of the people who asked about purchasing furniture. so you are probably better off finding furniture options on your own.

In Punta Cana (I live here) I was successfully using Ikea (they delivery to your house) and Ilumel outlet.聽 Ilumel have both high end and pretty inexpensive furniture.聽 they also have a website:
