Are there any mercados in the Punta Cana area?

ondami

I have researched the topic of mercados (a place for locals to sell their produce, fish, breads, tortillas, etc.) in the forum and have not seen anything, so if something has been posted in the past please accept my apologies.

When I lived in Mexico we used to go to the mercado each weekend and purchased fresh produce, fish, cheeses, meats, breads, clothing, etc.   This was also typically where the locals shopped.

Are there any mercados in the Punta Cana area?

As always, I thank you in advance for your assistance.
