It's a whole quite complicated process, in reality creating one here. It can take 2 years, minimum 6 months

I did create one here and it was very complicated.聽 It took about 1 1/2 years and a very complicated process with a lot of requirements.聽 Including a Board of Directors with at least 7 members...

I had the privilege of seeing how challenging it is to create a non-for-profit in the DR. As DominicanadaMike said, it took him 1.5yrs.

The team that was trying to get their charity going end up dropping the ball because it was a lot, and they didn't live in the DR to get the necessary things done. They also did not do their research and thought it was a microwave process.
