I have a 2020 Mecedez C300 I'm moving to DR and want to import it but i dont have resindecy yet any advice.

My advice is dont do it.聽 It will be very very expensive to bring in.聽 Beside shipping you need to pay聽 duty and sales tax and first plates and that is calculated based on the cars value here not there!

In addition you will find it very expensive to fix and its a target. You have one of those you must be rich.

If you import it with residency, on a 2020 model, you would be entitled to an 80% exoneration on the import duty. You still have to pay the 18% for registration/first plate.

I agree with what Planner said above. Parts and mechanics might not be readily available, and you will be targeted.
