Opening a bank account and getting my property furnished

Hi all. I am living in the uk but have been to the DR many times and love it so much i bought a property last year..... it was suposed to be completed in january but yes you guessed it still isnt completed but thats fine and i expected that. What worries me is how to furnish it and how to get a bank account over there as its very difficult for british people. I dont know anyone out there and when i go over i have limited time due to work over here. Its keeping me awake at night worrying

Bank accounts are fairly easy to open when you arrive here. You must be in country and in your first 30 days unless you have a work visa or residency. You need to take your passport and a letter from your bank at home. It helps if you know someone who also banks there. Close to the time, ask here for more help.

How to furnish it depends where it is!聽 Your options will be different by location.

As for the construction, this is very very normal here! I do not know any projects done on time!聽 Review your contract for deliverables and penalties!

@Chazzy Hello.聽 I actually opened an account with Banco Santa Cruz last year.聽 Below is a list of the information that I needed to open my account.聽 I also opened up a secured credit card to build my credit out there, process was pretty simple once my account was open. After 1 year it was moved to a regular credit card.聽 I have a pretty good account executive who can help you start the process remotely.聽
