Getting money in Santiago

my Swiss friend would like to withdraw pesos from an ATM in Santiago with a debit card from a Swiss bank. Does anyone know where that is possible?

Your friend should be able to do that at any bank! Avoid the RED brand ATMs and stick to actual bank ATMs to avoid excessive fees. You might want to check to see if there are any partner networks/agreements in place that allow no-fee transactions.

Additionally, always select PESO and not your home country's currencey if given the option to avoid paying a higher exchange rate. Let your bank do the conversion
