Art scene in the Zona Colonial — for artists & art lovers

I recently opened a gallery in the Zona Colonial, ****, and I'm trying

to map out the arts community here. The concept is native Dominican art fused with neon —

traditional Dominican imagery reimagined in light — and I'd love to meet the people around it.

A few things I'm hoping to learn:

Which Santo Domingo galleries, studios, or art events should I know about?

Are there expats here who paint, sculpt, or shoot and are looking for somewhere to show?

What kind of programming actually draws people in the old city — openings, talks, live

work, music nights?

Not trying to advertise — I genuinely want to meet people and build a bit more of an arts

conversation in the Zona. There's some of the work on **** if you're

curious. Reply here or send me a message.

This is a great idea.  We will encourage others to post here,  photos,  interesting art,  maybe the Jazz scene as well as they go hand in hand.

I love the Colonial Zone, the shops and the restaurants as well.  Â
