An article from Telenoticias about requirements for admission to RD

For those reading but have not yet got a grasp of Spanish:

The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) clarifies that it acts without distinction when allowing foreigners of any nationality to enter or leave the country.

The official body indicates that the process of non-admission of foreigners is established in the General Migration Law 285-04, its Application Regulation 631-11 and the Procedures Manual of the DGM.

A person not admitted is one who did not meet the requirements to enter Dominican territory established in article 15 of the aforementioned Law, among these not having sufficient permanency.

In this sense, immigration officers in airports, seaports and land border crossings are authorized not to admit foreigners in the Dominican Republic who, entering as tourists, do not present:

Passport a day with more than six months of validity
Visa or Tourist Card, as appropriate
Air ticket return to your country
Reservation of hotel or address of stay in the country
Economic solvency to sustain its permanence; conditions without which, these people could constitute a burden for the Dominican State.
In another order, it should be noted that the DGM does not charge taxes to any person at the time of entry into the country.

The 30 dollars are paid to another institution by all Dominican or foreign passengers that enter and leave the national territory, by concept of airport tax and aeronautical rate.

I didn't know that the entry fee was raised from $10 US to $30 US.聽 A 300 % jump? Perhaps it was a typo?聽 The Haitian border is different of course.聽 I too, thank you for the translation.
