Has anyone resolved their residency status with the help of a good lawyer? I want to apply for temporary or even permanent residence. It would be great to obtain residence without having to buy property. Anyone has recommendations? Thanks

Be aware buying property alone does NOT qualify you for residency.聽聽 There are several ways to qualify and you need to look at that with the lawyer. She will walk you through the options.

Speaking of attorneys...
I鈥檓 reaching out shopping for one to draw up my prenuptial. Thus far I鈥檝e received one quote of $1,600-$2,000 USD from what seems to be a reputable firm.
Realizing that Americano鈥檚 rates tend to be higher, (if I was a Dominican something tells me this quote would be lower) does this seem like a fair price for this type of legal service?
At the end of the day I care more about how puncture proof the document is vs. price however, doesn鈥檛 mean I want to overpay either...
Thoughts or better yet, experience?

That quote seems high!聽 However, if they have actual experience in this area it has value.聽

Yes there are two prices in this country depending how you are viewed.聽

Shop around and ask for references you can confirm, pepe who have used them for prenups!聽 Don't take their word for it, actually confirm their experience.
