* Hello, as a whole Dominican I am living in Germany, I regret the cases of deception suffered by both men and women when choosing a partner. My text is long but to understand me and classify us all the same as you are not the exception.
Rule # 1- Be it country, learn not to look for young girls if you are very old (I do not know what their age is)
Rule # 2-Mistake of many men: believe in offering money, show them offering them from the good life they know and they believe they will be a good woman and it is the opposite.
Rule # 3- become a psychologist without being one, do not talk about what you have without knowing them well, how is their walk where they live, what type of people they meet, the environment where they live, their origin, education and family behavior , your life in the past, present and how you think, it is a big mistake in most of you men buy women for what they offer as many did to me and still do to me, but money does not excite me, I grew up in the country and with money.

* I regret what happened to you, I do not justify anything that thema always happens and in men the woman is the same, but as a woman I am I tell you: it is unfair to blame all the others and keep men away from wanting a Dominican just for your failure and irresponsibility of that girl not knowing how to respect you.,
* Learn not only in the DR there are women falzas all over the world there are ambitious and lacking, they have foreigners as men they look for women to live from them as they like their pimps keep them for free, both men and women some with their husbands @ lovers only to a foreigner for money, even in the great monarchies there is betrayal, there are respectable dams and they are secretly false with their lovers and not knowing how to be a housewife and her husband, less having responsibility for good opportunities they are presented in the life..

* The embassy was not enough my proofs I took them from my job letter, the bank account, the company managed it the same, the reference of my boss, my commercial references, of banks, nothing, they found me very joben at that time for what they requested the presence of my husband today.

* 2005 until today in its ups and downs, but as a Woman I master many situations ... you do not classify us all the same as you are not the exception and next time I wish you all the best luck in the world, we all wish to have and live as a couple. But take care and be smarter at the moment of choosing not for face, youth, body that is fantasy, interest and temporary failure. but it is not true love.

ajjs...your story is not unique and I believe what you are saying to be true and support you.聽 I wish you a good life although聽 I find, as you, living in another country from which you were born is often difficult.

The problem with life, be it in the DR or anywhere, many people are looking for their second spouse, lover etc... and if they are looking for that "good" woman (better than the first one), they are already taken and are not available.聽

Because we are all human, we seek to find a partner and when we find someone that is interested then the rest of our values and thoughts go to hell and fall in love with all of the wrong reasons.

All people are easily trapped in relationships with no future.聽 It's life and it isn't going to change...

But your story provides insight and direction for those that are still looking and haven't yet taken the bait.

I believe it's always best to find someone more like yourself, similar age, similar background, similar financial position etc.聽 but with all of the resources and technology available the search is still the same... :(

I agree with much of what you say. There are good and bad people.聽 Be careful what you share!聽 Trust has to be earned!聽 Watch for warning signs.

Dominicanadamike, I just relayed your message about 'similar age' to a friend, and she answered, "dont be ridiculous". She is about late 60s, and her current boyfriend is 23.

Julien thank you for posting the terms. I expect to be treated as an adult and not bullied and told to get off expat if I dont like the expert comments. I hope you review your chosen experts comments on this DR site. Not every single comment needs a reply from an expert where advice was not expected. And when you get two experts tagteaming you on this forum it is unacceptable. Experts not moderators. Apologies are always welcome. TOPICS covid 19 to name one.

It is true love has no age, but these times are not the same as before, now it is not love that is sought, but only interest, if there is money, the man or woman is not worth for some ... that is why we are as we are as a world and society , women and men lack of values and unhappy, they come to have everything and what they do with their hands they trample with their feet, then they lose another's chicken and another like it does not appear.
Like a friend of mine from the university there, she had a good boyfriend all ready to get married in Greece, he was in the DR before I came to live in Germany, married, we went to take him to the airport and she just waited for him here and I called him. Getting married will ruin everything, after he made his house and other things, I abandon him, because today he goes from hand to hand and does not get tired, he seems to be a baker and criticized by all ..

It is just looking and not getting desperate, despair is causing many problems in that couple's theme. Lack of seriousness, sincerity and many other things, appear only is knowing who to choose. I because I am strong and I try to save my marriage, if I were a crazy one of those they would not care about anything, I would have sent everything to hell, but I stay as long as I think I can endure, nothing lasts forever, not even life, we just try hard, But many forget that a relationship is two, not more than one, and for sincere marriage I believe not everyone was born prepared for them.

jwj...there is always the exception, but don't take suggestions out of context.聽 More times than not, it's still best to find someone more like yourself, similar age, similar background, similar financial position etc.聽 Looking for honey out in the wild sometimes presents unfavorable results.聽 However, the one in the jar is probably safer.聽 That also doesn't mean that I take my own advice...;)

yes there is , i met my wife ans I met where she worked at the capital ( hotel) beinf there for vacation and seeing other girls i fell in love with her humility, great heart and awesome spirit bit I guess have been around the bloxk more thama few times it does not make me a target on that area. 10 years and counting the best woman i have ever known in many aspects, never materialistic and beside i know how latin women are.
there are many good women there just be patient and wise

If tourists look for Gold diggers, this is what they get. If they are in their 60s and go with a 20 years....mmmm
Sometimes tourists, they do not know where they put themselves. I was born in DR, lives in USA(my father brought here), and travel lived in Europe and the middle east because of my job.聽 In DR, I聽 have seen聽 tourists living and dancing in places that I do not dare to go....look for class, education and great places, you will not find these GDs.

I don't think any tourist looks for gold diggers directly.聽

They end up with the wrong people often because they don't know any better. Maybe they learn, maybe they don't.

My motto on most things: If it's seems too good to be true, it is!

Not sure I agree with this - been thru out the country and to say class, education, and great places changes people, the only thing that changes is the scale of gold digging. And this is not meant towards everyone but does exist regardless of class.

Gold diggers exist in all classes, all countries聽 and are both men and women!聽 Sometimes it's overt and sometimes it's not.聽 Sometimes it's conscious and sometimes it's not.

MVilla50, you're right, if gringos would only live and dance where the highest class locals do, they would meet higher class people.聽 For that reason I tried to go the a governors ball......but they wouldnt let me in!

Common you can tell a gold digger, they way they dress and the places you meet them...I can go on
Sometimes,聽 I am at the beach w my friends...and we see a tourist with one of these women/chapeadoras and we laugh saying another victim...

There are less changes when you meet someone at a nice place, well educated and etc.聽 They do not have as much needs as others....

I am from Germany and I met my Dominican wife online. She was a good woman, loving caring with a good heart, good values and a woman of faith. I'm 20 years older but that never was a problem. I'd rather enjoyed being a father to her two children from her first marriage.

We had the same problem to get a visa for her after we already married her in the DR. Her first application was denied and I had fights with the German embassy here and sent a six-page complaint to the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I even talked to local members of parliament. She finally got a visa for a month and in the following year she passed the A1 language test and was alled to stay with me in Germany.

But what killed our relationship was her jealousy. This afternoon, I talked to a friend of mine from college. He lives in the Guyanas and he said he has a lot of friends who are married to Dominican women and they all have problems with the jealousy of their wifes. Every week you have to defend yourself against the unwarranted statements like "I am absolutely sure that ... you are seeing another woman." At some point, you just don't have the energy for such a drama.

While my wife was not a gold digger, but her statement was "I am a Dominican, in my country, the husband pays for everything." Well in Germany, living expenses are so high, that just doesn't work.

The other day, I talked to an American friend of mine. He divorced his Dominican wife four years ago. He told me that he considers Dominican woman not mature enough. The are like teenagers who dream of the all encompassing romantic love but are not like responsible adults. But it is not their fault. It is the culture in which they grew up. Her ex-husband has married again and has now children from his three wifes. It is understandable that Dominican women want to "own" their husband and are suspicous if something happens that doesn't fit into their thinking process.

Regarding gold diggers: when I was living in the States, I met a lady from Russia who met her husband through a dating service. She used him to get to the states. Divorced him, married again and divorced her second husband as well an in each case she got half of his money. So yes, gold diggers are everywhere.

You know, tourists are not red and not only in the Dominican Republic are there women living, ek tourists look for them because they like that life, but the living women are dedicated to that, and they are not 100% Dominican women, they are like that, 75% of tourists travel they just seem like sankypanky that's their life they like it

Not only the Dominican woman is jealous, we are all and we all seem teenagers, many without teenagers with minds more than an adult, because from abroad a Dominican woman marries if they are really jealous, I met mine in 2005 and dreamed as a child for I saw men in movies and novels, grown-ups, beautiful hair, colored eyes, blond hair, I had money because as a child I grew up with my grandparents in fields and I was handling money in businesses and agriculture I rejected many as an adult and fell to choose a simple school bus driver He earns 鈧� 900 and I am still with 2021, since I arrived in Germany or before I left the DR was the 1st thing I told him, since I have papers I always want to work and be independent and that's how it was, oh well, we are not all supported and not all of us like to live from abroad
