DOGS IN RESTAURANTS AND STORES

We will be moving to Las Terrenas this November and have a small dog.
Can anybody advise if restaurants and grocery stores will allow us to bring the dog into their businesses if we are carrying the dog in an over the shoulder carry bag ?

Most restaurants will allow the dog. There will be exceptions. I did see someone holding a small dog in Super Pola once.

Since most of the restaurants are open-air, they allow dogs. The beach/street dogs are always wandering through! The only place I know of that is not open-air, Secret Squirrel, does not allow dogs.

I've never noticed dogs in any of the stores, but I can't say that I've been looking for any!
