Greetings! If you entered DR with a residency visa, all you need to do is聽 open an account online with migraci贸n, select the corresponding residency, upload all the required documents, submit, and wait for migraci贸n to accept the packet and give you an appointment date to turn everything in. It seems simple but migraci贸n can be very picky with the documents and requirements. Hope this helps.

蔼厂濒颈苍1953听 This is the second post I've seen where you mention submitting your paperwork to the wrong Government Agency.聽 No offense intended, but are you SURE you want to do this by yourself?聽 A lawyer for the initial Residency is worth their weight in gold, as long as you listen to advice on which here about which lawyers to avoid or choose.

You might be 100% eligible for Residency, but without a lawyer, you may get bogged down in the system or rejected for who knows what reason.聽 I'm all for saving money and not paying lawyers, but this seems like a time where you probably should consider the option.

Thank you for also pointing this out! I can sometimes get bogged down in semantics/accuracy (like when people refer to passport control/migracion as customs), but in this case, the OP is confusing two entirely different government agencies that have different missions and purposes, and either didn't read or chose to ignore my comment on the original thread!

You and @UncleBuck are correct. I should have addressed that @Slin1953 was referring to wrong government agency. That is why I specified migracion. Hopefully, they are able to accomplish what they need whether it is with or without a lawyer. Though if confused between the agencies, they should probably get a lawyer to help with the process. It would definitely save them many headaches and trips to migracion.
