At the corner of Lincoln and 27 de Febrero is Nacional and Casa Cuesta. Inside is the largest bookstore in Santo Domingo.  There is a wide selection of books across all genres.   However, there is very little in English.

I supply a few children with books from this store!

The store Planner is talking about is called Cuesta Libros and they have a lot of books there.  There is only one aisle that is English books and also a section in the Childrens area.  That is my go-to book store in Santo Domingo.

On the cultural side of the Zona Colonial — alongside the bookstores, there are several small

galleries and art spaces worth a look if you're exploring. I run one, ****

(native Dominican art fused with neon), and I love swapping notes with people hunting for books,

art, and that kind of thing in the old city.
