Glass top Electric stoves in Santo Domingo or Else where?

I鈥檝e been looking for an electric stove with glass top and oven for two months now with no luck. I鈥檝e gone to Plaza Lama, Price smart, Corripio, Jumbo, Ole, L&R Commercial and still nothing yet. I鈥檓 willing to go to other cities if they have delivery.

Be careful !!

I too wanted one - and got one (living in Canada)

They are sooo hard to keep clean - too much trouble.
Spills are disasters....

I鈥檝e also gone to Ikea and saw that they had the glass stove top with drawer oven but I would prefer a whole glass top stove

I think the reason they are hard to find is that gas is so much cheaper to cook with here (and more reliable) than electricity.聽 We prefer cooking with gas, so it hadn't dawned on me that all we had seen were gas!

I agree with Willy's comments above about them being hard to clean! We had one in the rental house we were in just before leaving the US. It was awful!

I have a Jennair and I love it. I buy a cleaner that is specifically for glass cooktops and I have no problem keeping it clean. Planner is right that your pots need to have a flat bottom, so they don鈥檛 work well with the aluminum pots used in the DR.
