is it difficult for expats to open a bank account in Haiti ?

Which documents are required to open a bank account in Haiti ?

How long does it take to open it ?

Is there any restriction for expats regarding the services (loans for instance)聽 ?

Which bank would you recommend ?

I have one with Unibank as well. The only hard part is all the forms are in French, and at least at the one I went to in St. Marc no one there spoke English and while I can speak some French it's not good enough to understand all the forms - so if your French isn't great be sure to bring a translator.

Hi Julien,

Opening a Bank Account here is not all that difficult, all that is needed is a valid ID and maybe a "Permit Serjour". I can refer you to a local service provider here if you are still interested.

Hi, how can i open a bank account in Haiti if i leave in the United Kingdom? is that possible? because although i leave in the United Kingdom i still would like to have a bank account from home country though, any ideas or tips please?
