I have come across somewhat of an emergency with my health

vegchef

Hi All,

We have made the move from Cabo Rojo and are now in Rincon. I have come across somewhat of an emergency with my health and need to have my prescription filled ASAP the problem it is 1 controlled med Tramadol and my doc in Cabo Rojo is on vacation and left me high and dry told his secretary I needed to see a specialist!! I need this med to function and can not be without it or I will end up in ER.. So if anyone has any connections or strings they can pull I would be forever grateful!! Thank you so much!!

Sorry about that, the only suggestion I have is to go to another doctor, maybe an associate of that doctor, show him the bottle and ask for a few pills to hold you over until your doctor comes back. He can verify with your doctor office if he gave you the medicine, the dosage and when will the doctor come back. I am sure there is someone reasonable out there.
Since it is a controlled substance for severe pain and can be addictive, they are being very careful.
Sorry, no contacts

As rey mentioned, I will sugest finding a local phisician and explain him your condition. Even if you end up on the ER, they will only be able to give you enough for a few days at max.

Thanks for your replies. I have found an arthritis specialist in Aguadilla. I understand all the ramifications of needed a pain med., but it beats being in a wheelchair.

Hello everyone,

Please note that a new thread has been created from the initial post of vegchef and some of your feedbacks on the Puerto Rico forum.

Best of luck, :)

Vegchef, I'm so glad you were able to find someone to prescribe some meds for the interim!
