Xmas and NYE celebrations in Albania?

Hi I won't be traveling home or overseas for the holidays this year so I'm looking for something to do locally. Are there any fun or interesting celebrations for Xmas or NYE here in Albania that you know of? I'm based in Tirana but I'm curious about things going on in other cities. From what some of my local friends have told me, NYE is a bigger deal than Xmas because religion was banned or discouraged during the communist period. I tend to do things solo but if there's an "orphans" gathering I'm open to considering joining up with others.
