How can I stay in Austria over 90 days as a US Citizen by investment?

Hello everyone,

I read about the type of visa Austria grants to about 450 people a year but besides that, does any American here managed to stay longer than 90 days ( Tourist Visa) ?

My wife and I are in late 40s, I have a remote job making about $75K USD and have about $250K in saving,

We were even thinking of getting a residency from another schengen country then move to Austria but now sure if that would help any or not

What options we have to live in Austria, we are slowly learning German.

I would appreciate any advice and help
