Change in place of work - Does my employer need to renew my permit

Hey! I work for a small company in Belgium and recently we moved from Antwerp to Gent. As I see on Flanders website, it says that I should get my 鈥渨ork authorisation鈥� renewed. However I鈥檓 not sure if it鈥檚 required since it鈥檚 in the same region. Has anybody been through similar situation ? And did you have to renew your 鈥淲ork authorization鈥�?

Depends on the type of work permit you have. If it is limited, it means you need to apply for a new one every time you change employer. In your case, since employer is the same, I think its okay unless you are moving where you reside then you鈥檇 need to register.

If it is unlimited (this takes years to qualify for), then you can change jobs as its not tied to the employer.
