Hi All,

I have a query regarding marriage certificate.

After marriage my wife changed her name.

But my marriage certificate has her old name.

I read in other posts that the marriage name and passport name has to be same.

Is that the case. Kindly clarify.

Note : We already have a affidavit stating her name change in newspaper. I don't know if this will be considered as valid proof.

@Bechkam7 I had similar situation but so far no questions asked. Don't think it is a problem and it is understood that names would change after marriage.

Is it every visa D application that must be transferred to FPS home affairs in Belgium??? And how Mong does it take to track it in their site when it鈥檚 transferred/sent???

secondly, is 6months a mandatory time to get聽 visa D or it can be granted in lesser month/time???

@Spencer Gee Gold D visa normally goes to Brussels for approval. Each application is different so the timeline differs. But the average waiting time is 3-4 months from arrival in Brussels.

Nigerians don鈥檛 need to book flight until it is approved. I鈥檓 just waiting to go pick up my visa before buying ticket.

I only asked because one of the officials and attendants of TLS contact was asking me for flight reservations when I was submitting and I guess that was because I wrote that I will be using a year on my application form and that was because one is not allowed to leave the place blank

Good day, please I want to know how long does one use the 鈥渙range card鈥� on getting to Belgium, and can I travel out of Belgium during the specified period because my wife is planning our honeymoon and she鈥檚 worried I won鈥檛 be able to travel while I鈥檓 still with orange card.

Secondly, is 鈥淔 card鈥� same as 鈥淓U card鈥� ?? And how long will I make use of the too?? And where and where can I travel to when I have that???

Hope you are doing well. As we submitted our D visa applications at 30 Nov 2022. Registration 17 Feb, 23. Already long time have been passed but in tracking still showing Under Process. Afterwards we send them (IBZ) mail聽 several times聽 and contacted them over phone to know our files current status and request them for issue our visa at earliest .But they reluctant to provide any update and said we have to wait. They didn't given us any update or mail reply. So in this circumstance what can we do to know the real status and early getting the visa. Since we have two kids under 10 yrs. and they are mentally broken up lack of their mother. Also my spouse being depressed day by day. Even She cannot concentrating on her study as well.The situation is going worst. Though we mailed IBZ mentioning the full situation. But we think they may avoiding or not considering聽 our problems. Please suggest us what can we do .

I have the same problem like you . I applied in September 2022, got refused in February 2033.

Your wife must be working and earning more than 1950euros聽 to support one person , with two children's i think its more .

They don't care . I got refused 5 times and cannot even apply for a holiday visa to visit him.

Be prepared to be rejected .

I mean what is their policy to assess the files based on either submission date or Immigration registration date. As I have submitted our files ( myselfe along with two kids) at 30 Nov, 2022 Immigration registered 17 Feb,23 but still showing PROCESSING in the track. Which making us anxious day by day as you can imagine for 2 kids and their mother staying distantly about 7 months. They are very sad in this moment.

I did my research with the help of this forum and my husband. After submission in November 15th 2022, They sent a mail after 3 weeks stating that my application has been sent to Belgium for processing. We called after 8 weeks and we鈥檙e told Processing is 12/13 weeks. After processing,it will be uploaded on the website. We didn鈥檛 see anything on the website at 13 weeks until after 15weeks. This Processing is mainly for family of a Belgian or EU citizen.I submitted complete documents on the appointment date and I got it after 16weeks. If you鈥檙e documents are not complete, it might lead to refusal or they request for additional documents. While processing for Non EU takes up to 15months to be processed

My reunification timeline:

Submitted via TLS South Africa - 11 November 2022

Received in Brussels - 8 December 2022

Request for additional documents - 28 February 2023 ( Proof of lease registration myrent.be)

Accord (Approval) - 22 March 2023
