Marriage between the holder of A-card and a foreigner

Kisialeu

Hi everyone! Such a question - I am not an EU citizen, I live and work in Belgium - A card holder (single permit). I have been working for more than three months, renting an apartment. Can my girlfriend come to belgium on a tourist visa and marry me here and then apply for a temporary residence card with the possibility of working as well? Thank!

I believe you should be able to register her once you are married as long as you are legal to work/live here - under the family reunification rules.

Hello,

getting married yes, getting a resident permit from Belgium no, as you're not EU citizen.
She'll have to go back to her home country before her visa expire and start a family reunion visa request from there.
